Richard Buzbuzian and Tony Di Benedetto are teaming up to make Drone Delivery Canada Inc. what looks likely to become Canada’s first publicly traded ‘drone’ company.

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds. How about wind or in Newman’s case Jerry or Kramer. Also it seems that drones have more value then digging for gold, just ask the folks at Asher Resources in Canada.

“The company is going public to have easier access to capital to help fund the development of our drone development platform,” said DDC CEO Tony Di Benedetto. “We continue to develop the technology and are executing various levels of testing.”

The reverse takeover plan means Drone Delivery Canada will use gold-mining company Asher Resources Corp. to go public with the goal of speeding its development for online retail delivery, the CEO says.

There’s a race to populate skies with drone delivery vehicles, and a Canadian e-tailer is jumping into the fray. Toronto’s Shop.ca, which sells clothing, household and personal items, recently announced its partnership with Drone Delivery Canada to pilot a new way to get goods to customers – assuming regulatory hurdles are met.
